A reminder to all boat owners that Safety Declarations must be submitted to the Rear Commodore (Yachting) prior to the first race of the season. Boats who do not submit a relevant Safety Declaration will be scored DNC without a hearing.more

Due to inclement weather which is not conducive to a fun day on the water, today's sail past has been cancelled and replaced with a season opening and toast to the new season at the Great Northern Sports Club (MYC) from midday onwards.more
A number of changes have become necessary in the next few weeks. The 2 handed race scheduled for next Saturday (16 May) has been rescheduled for Sunday (17 May).
Races scheduled for 13 and 14 June (Saturday Race 5 and Lady Skippers Race) have been rescheduled to another date to be advised, due to inclusion of Mackay Offshore Powerboat Racing.more

Social Sailing at MYC
Social sailing is an activity that the club runs on some Saturdays throughout the year. This is something the anyone can participate in.

We meet at the marina at 12 noon and are usually back in by 4. So if you want to join us contact Bob on 4956 2618 or firstname.lastname@example.org and reserve a spot.
You don’t even have to have been out on the water on any sort of boat. You will now have the chance to go for a quiet sail on a yacht to get an idea of what sailing is all about. You will be taken out with an experienced skipper and crew and you will get a chance to try steering the vessel and trimming the sails. Or you can just sit back and relax.
